One of the many services we offer here at Gorilla Gutters is fascia replacement. For those who are unfamiliar with the term, fascia boards form the underside of your roof line, and like every other part of your roof, they will eventually wear out. Below, we’ll go over a few ways to tell if your home is ready for new fascia boards—if you notice any of the following signs, we encourage you to give us a call.

Is Your Home Ready for New Fascia Boards?

  • Cracks – One sign your home is definitely ready for new fascia boards is the presence of cracks in the boards you currently have. One of the purposes of your fascia is to keep pests out of your attic, and cracked boards are less effective at keeping pests out, so it’s important to replace them with new ones.
  • Pests – Speaking of pests, you should also get new fascia boards if there is evidence of pest activity in your attic or roofline. Our team will make sure your new fascia boards fit seamlessly with each other and with the other parts of your roof to keep pests from getting inside. (You will still need to call an exterminator to deal with the current infestation, though.)
  • Rotting Timber – Another sign your home is ready for new fascia boards is the presence of water damage or rotten areas on your existing fascia. If the paint is peeling, the boards are warped, or they feel soft to the touch, then it’s time to get your boards replaced with new ones.

If you have questions about your fascia or anything else, we encourage you to give our team a call to learn more about what we can do for you.
